The Red River Gorge has six major regions with approximately 50 climbing sites, access to the majority of to sites begins at an unmarked trail and nearly all the sport and traditional routes are not marked with difficulty or name.
Just route finding alone can make hiring a guide attractive to experienced climbers. So many climbing routes exist that families might not attipt climbing because they don't know how to proceed safely. By hiring a guide, you receive valuable local knowledge combined with national safety standards to ensure that your vacation will be one to riiber.
