Thank you for visiting our website. Since 1993, we have had campers, hikers, photographers, bird watchers, herpetologists, backpackers, bicyclists, cavers, kayakers, and rock climbers stay at our cabin because our cabins are located inside the Geological Area. What's New for Spring and Summer of '09?
1. Interested in hearth loaves and masonry ovens? This summer RRG will host a weekend workshop where participants will learn and visually apply their skills and build a wood fired bread oven.
2. RRG staff member Chris Dourson to take American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) certification exam in June. Chris, also a member of the Red River Gorge Mountain Rescue team.
3. This spring RRG is beginning the foundation for a fine woodworking shop. Timber framer apprentice, Aaron Dourson, who worked under the Welsh Bodger Don Weber. (visit Don's Website)
4. This summer we renovating White Pines and Wildflower cabins. Those interesting in learning about log cabin construction and maintenance should stop by and check us out.
5. Kudos to RRG staff member Greg Penner for being recognized at the Art Opening: The Bold, The Beautiful and The Bizarre. The art opening was held at The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center in Covington, Ky.
