Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I must cancel a reservation. Can I be refunded?

    • For reservations made at least one month ahead, cancellations two weeks prior to your visit are refundable.

    • For reservations made two weeks ahead, cancellations one week prior to your visit are refundable.

    • For reservations made seven days ahead, cancellations three days prior to your visit are refundable.

    • For reservations made within seven days, cancellations three days prior to your visit are refundable.

    • For reservations made within three days, cancellations one day prior to your visit are refundable.

    • For reservations made within 24 hours, cancellations 12 hours prior to your visit are refundable.

    Anything else is subject to the discretion of the manager.

  2. Are pets allowed at the cabins? Your pets are welcome; our pets enjoy the area as much as we do. We ask you to pay a $15.00 cleaning fee, per pet, and please tell us when making the reservation. You might be asked to leave without refund if you bring you pets without telling. Pease call us in advance to request.

  3. Is the cabin availability up-to-date?Yes.

  4. Where’s the nearest grocery? Krogers 179 West College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380. Local gas stations have an expanded grocery and camping selection.

  5. How do I pay for a cabin?

    • An online reservation using PayPal

    • Check. Please make all checks out to Red River Gorgeous and send to:

  6. Do we provide sheets, blankets, linens or pillows? No.

  7. What activities are there to do on our property? Go for a short hike.

  8. What activities are there to do nearby? Hike on the Natural Bridge, check out some US Forest Service trails, canoe on the Red River, rock climb at Military Wall, grab a pizza at Miguel's. Check out some of the local web sites on the Red River Gorge for more info.

  9. Will my cell phone work at the cabin? Unlikely. We have a telephone available for your use at our office(Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00am until 5:00pm, , Saturday from 9:00am until 12:00noon, closed on Sunday.)

  10. Do I have to purchase a pass for overnight parking? No. Passes are sold at US Forest Service information centers and at gas stations and stores in the area.

  11. Can I smoke in the cabin? You cannot smoke inside our cabins.
